This session will provide an overview of behavioral activation and how it can be utilized to treat patients with depression and/or anxiety.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this training course the participant will be able to:
- Apply behavioral activation techniques to treat patients with depression/anxiety.
- Describe the goals of behavioral activation.
- Apply concepts to patient-specific scenarios.
Audience
This session is intended for the behavioral health care manager (BHCM) in the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) and is applicable to nurses, social workers, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, community health workers and other care team members seeking to expand their knowledge and skills of behavioral activation.
Faculty
Eric Lake, MA, LLP, CADCEric Lake is a psychologist who specializes in the treatment of chronic pain and works in the Mary Free Bed Pain Rehabilitation Program, an interdisciplinary program that addresses many pain conditions. He received his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
